Responsibilities
The Kitchen Manager will establish methods to meet work schedules and requisition food and kitchen supplies. Key duties include supervising and co-ordinating activities of 1 to 2 staff members who prepare and portion food, and participating in the hiring of food service staff. Ensuring that food and service meet quality control standards is crucial. The role also involves preparing budget and cost estimates, and preparing food order summaries for the chef. Knowledge of the establishment's culinary genres is required.
Requirements
Candidates should have a college, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year, or equivalent experience. A minimum of 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in the field is required. Applicants must possess a Food Safety Certificate and a Serving It Right Certificate. A valid driver's licence is necessary. Physical demands include a combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching, and kneeling.
