Smitty’s Restaurant and Lounge in Drumheller, Alberta, is seeking a Kitchen Manager. This role is crucial for overseeing kitchen operations and ensuring high standards of food preparation and service within a dynamic restaurant environment.
Responsibilities
The Kitchen Manager will establish methods to meet work schedules and supervise and co-ordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food. Key duties include training staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures. You will be responsible for estimating ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation, ensuring that food and service meet quality control standards, and addressing customers' complaints or concerns. The role also involves maintaining records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, preparing and submitting reports, and preparing food order summaries for the chef.
Requirements
Candidates must possess a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate and have 1 to less than 2 years of experience in a relevant role. The work environment is fast-paced and requires the ability to stand for extended periods. Essential personal suitability traits include client focus, efficient interpersonal skills, and flexibility.
