About the Role

Nawab Saab Biryanis & Kebabs in Brampton, Ontario, is seeking an experienced Cook to join their team. This full-time position involves preparing delicious South Indian and East Indian cuisine, with various employment term options including evening, shift, flexible hours, night, on-call, and weekend availability. Overtime is available, and parking is provided.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods. This includes preparing special meals for customers with food allergies or intolerances, and for patients as instructed by a dietitian or chef. Key duties also involve inspecting kitchens and food service areas, training staff in food preparation, cooking, and handling, and supervising kitchen staff and helpers. The Cook will also order supplies and equipment, maintain inventory and records, clean kitchen and work areas, recruit and hire staff, organise buffets and banquets, and manage overall kitchen operations.

Requirements

Applicants should have 2 to less than 3 years of experience in a similar role. No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this position. Ideal candidates will demonstrate strong personal suitability traits such as client focus, flexibility, initiative, and being a team player.
